Here are some resources for getting trained on your SURFCAM CAD/CAM software. There are three
different resources you can make use of: A printed textbook, training courses delivered to your
city/state by your local dealer, and finally a set of videos to train you at your own speed.
As a Surfware customer you have access to all these resources. Contact your local sales
dealer if you have further questions.
E-Training
|
Enjoy at your own pace basic SURFCAM eTraining. These courses are developed in
Macromedia Flash™, very interactive and easy to use. You will learn the
SURFCAM basic operations in no time.
Although written for previous versions of SURFCAM (prior to the Velocity versions), the SURFCAM eTraining tutorials are still used
by many new customers to learn some basics.
The tutorials are interactive and are most helpful when viewed full screen. You will be prompted to click on various menus and buttons.
This is how you advance to the next command. There is also an easy to use Navigation that can be turned on
by clicking the "Contents" button in the top left corner. It can also be closed to focus on the current
Tutorial. So, sit back and relax go to the training videos now.

SURFCAM, The Textbook

The 2007 textbook, "SURFCAM, The Velocity Series" is now available.
To order
the textbook, contact your local SURFCAM Dealer.
The book covers most of the topics on milling, roughing, and machining and how all this operations can
be optimally performed on SURFCAM Velocity family of products. It describes step-by-step the
procedures to execute the different tasks and generate the correct and optimized toolpath.
Being able to correctly set the feeds and speeds on your CNC milling machine, will set you in a more
productive environment.
