How to Enter the Contest
1. Review and accept the Terms and Conditions below.
2. Submit your entries via email by the entry deadline, Midnight PST, February 28, 2009.
3. Fill in the entry form. Include your name and company name, description, material used, SURFCAM functionality and CNC machine used.
4. Include up to (3) videos. Preferred video formats are AVI, WMV or MOV (for email, video size limit is 20MB)
If your video files are larger than 20MB, please contact
marketing for further instructions.
5. Include up to (3) images. Preferred image formats are TIFF, BMP, or JPEG |
Rules and Restrictions
1. Participants must be SURFCAM users with a valid license of SURFCAM.
2. Parts must be machined primarily using SURFCAM software.
3. Upon request, SURFCAM files must be provided to Surfware for verification to ensure authenticity and that they were created in SURFCAM software.
4. Submissions must be accompanied with a Description, Material, SURFCAM functionality and CNC machine used.
5. Contest winners will be decided solely by Surfware, Inc.
6. Any Entry may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Surfware, Inc.
7. During final judging, the following elements will be taken into consideration:
• Complexity of toolpath
• Uniqueness of part
• Elegance and creativity
8. Surfware reserves the right to make changes to the prizes and rules if necessary.
9. Employees of Surfware and their families are not eligible for the contest. |
Contest Entry Terms and Conditions
Entrant hereby gives Surfware, Inc. ("Surfware") permission to use Entrant's name and other information contained within, in whole or in part, in sales and marketing activities related to promoting Surfcam.
Entrant specifically agrees as follows:
1. All Entries are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Contest. By submitting an Entry, Entrant agrees to be bound by these rules as well as the decisions of the judges. Surfware reserves the right to amend these rules at any time.
2. Entrant hereby consents to Surfware's publication of the submitted Entry in marketing materials including, but not limited to, Surfware's websites, press releases, advertisements, packaging and other printed and digital publications without any further permission, notification or compensation.
3. An Entry consists of images or videos of a part machined by Surfcam, or being machined by Surfcam software. Do not submit the actual part with your Entry.
4. Entrant warrants that he/she has the right and authority to grant permission to Surfware to use the Entry and further asserts that doing so does not violate or infringe the copyrights or proprietary rights of others. Entrant attests that he/she is the rightful owner of the Entry. Making an Entry public may affect Entrant's right to a patent. Entrants are advised not to submit Entries for which patent protection may be sought without first seeking legal advice.
5. Surfware's staff members, at their sole discretion, will select the winning Entries. Winning Entries will be posted on the Surfware website after announcement. Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes, and must provide Surfware with necessary 1099 information.
6. Surfware is not in any way responsible or liable for damages, loss or injury resulting from participation in this Contest.
