Surfcam, by Vero Software, to be Featured at the Productivity, Inc., 19th Biennial Oktoberfest Tool Show, Sept. 26-28, Plymouth, Minn. The robust Surfcam computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) solution will be exhibited Sept. 26-28 at the 19th Biennial Oktoberfest Tool Show, hosted by Productivity, Inc., in Plymouth, Minn.
Productivity’s Oktoberfest is the largest show hosted by a metalworking distributor in the Midwest, and will feature three days of machine tools, robots, tooling and accessories, measurement solutions, contract dimensional inspection services, live machine demos, val-uable seminars, metalworking experts, prizes, food and music.
Surfcam 2017 R2 introduces a new turning cycle that includes B-axis capabilities for ma-chining on a turning center. This new feature delivers greater accessibility in the machining of complex profiles by dynamically positioning the insert.
As the toolholder is gouge-protected during deployment, users have even more control over toolpath by deploying over-ride angles. This new cycle can be used with all types of turning tools, and for both roughing and finishing operations.
There are nearly 20 upgrades available with Surfcam 2017 R2, including those for turning, milling, simulation, and wire EDM functionality.
