SURFCAM, by Vero Software, at HaasTec 2017 Oct. 10-13, Oxnard, Calif.Known for its ability to generate flawless toolpath while maintaining ease of use, the SURFCAM computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) solution, by Vero Software, will be shown Oct. 10-13 at HaasTec 2017, hosted at the Haas Automation, Inc., manufacturing facility in Oxnard, California.
HaasTec 2017 will feature live machining demonstrations on 16 different machine tools, which will give attendees the opportunity to see Haas technologies at work. The event will also include guided factory tours of the company’s 1.6-million-square-foot manufacturing facility, both above and on the production floor, where participants will see firsthand how Haas machinery is built. Industry vendors in the disciplines of CNC software, tooling, probing, and more, will also be featured, and lunch under a spacious tent is included.
SURFCAM 2017 R2 introduces a new turning cycle that includes B-axis capabilities for machining on a turning center. This new feature delivers greater accessibility in the machining of complex profiles by dynamically positioning the insert.
As the toolholder is gouge-protected, users have even more control over toolpath by deploying over-ride angles. This new cycle can be used with all types of turning tools, and for both roughing and finishing operations.
There are nearly 20 upgrades available with SURFCAM 2017 R2, including those for turning, milling, simulation, and wire EDM functionality.
