Surfcam, by Vero Software, at Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS) 2017, Sept. 25-28, Mississauga, Ont., Canada

The innovative Surfcam computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) solution will be exhibited Sept. 25-28, when Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS) 2017 is hosted at the International Center in Mississauga, Ont., Canada.

For over three decades, manufacturers have attended CMTS to source solutions and glean knowledge from global leaders in the machine tools and tooling, metalworking, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

This popular national event offers a diverse mixture of live technologies, keynote speakers, panel discussions and technical sessions. CMTS also offers several signature events that facilitate networking, sharing and celebrating manufacturing.

CMTS participants are encouraged to visit Surfcam at booth No. 1737, where demonstrations of time-saving features offered by the solution will be available.

Surfcam 2017 R2 introduces a new turning cycle that includes B-axis capabilities for machining on a turning center. This new feature delivers greater accessibility in the machining of complex profiles by dynamically positioning the insert.

As the toolholder is gouge-protected, users have even more control over toolpath by deploying over-ride angles. This new cycle can be used with all types of turning tools, and for both roughing and finishing operations.

There are nearly 20 upgrades available with Surfcam 2017 R2, including those for turning, milling, simulation, and wire EDM functionality.
