Job Location: Surfware Corporate Office, Camarillo, CA, USA (45 minutes northwest of Los Angeles)
Surfware Inc, the creator of SURFCAM, the leading CAD/CAM system, is currently seeking to fill
the position of Quality Assurance Lead
A Quality Assurance Lead implements and completes quality assurance practices, procedures, test plans
and other QA assessments as well as directing and training other QA team members. As a member of the
Quality Assurance team you will work with the Product Manager and the QA Manager to meet project timelines
and goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, publish, and complete test plans based on product requirements, defined test cases,
and test data requirements
- Coordinate review of test plans, test cases, test schedules, and identify project milestones and risks
- Participate in test case automation efforts
- Continual and effective communication with Product Management,QA team, and Development team and to gain
knowledge and resolve questions in preparation for and during the testing phases
- Coordinate testing resources when applicable and execute test cases as needed
- Provide summary status reports on a regular basis; escalate risks and issues appropriately
- Supports the completion of QA deliverables, tracking bug reports and change requests and their resolution
- Define and track QA metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts
- Ensures that all tests are conducted and documented according the standards agreed upon by the Product Manager and the QA Manager
- Completion of any other duties as assigned by the company from time-to-time
Qualifications
- To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience
- BSME or BSCS a plus. Minimum 4+ years of Quality Assurance experience with a thorough knowledge of software
development lifecycle principles and QA methodology. Minimum 2 years experience as quality assurance lead,
software project management or software engineering.
